Painting
What’s Most Important

Painting of either the inside or outside of a home is a major step and the contractor can make a significant difference.  But, the most important part of a painting project is that you – the homeowner – select the color that works for you.  So, while selecting the right painter is extremely important, selecting the right paint color and type is critical.

Where Can We Help

We can advise you with regard to the TYPE of paint to use for a particular application (e.g., oil-based versus latex paint).  We can also advise as to whether a PRIMER is required.

We can also provide advice about how much paint will be required for the project.

We cannot, however, decide on a paint color for you.

Resources to Help Decide on a Color

Sherwin Williams is a major provider of paint.  They have a website designed to help you select the color with which you will be happy.

While Sherwin Williams has stores around the area where you can shop for paint, there are other “big box” stores like Lowe’s and The Home Depot who also sell paint.  They also have displays of paint colors if you prefer to visit one of their stores and speak with a consultant.

Matching An Existing Pain Color

If you have an existing paint color that you want to match – but, don’t know the brand or specific paint color – Sherwin Williams, Lowe’s and The Home Depot have equipment which gives them the ability to match and existing color.  But, you will need to have at least a small sample of the existing color for them to use to perform the match.
